Yes, one-time physical access is required to install the monitoring app on your child's device. This typically takes under 5 minutes. After that, everything is monitored and controlled remotely from the parent app — no further physical access is needed.

Guardian Eye is designed to be lightweight. During normal monitoring (no active camera or mic session) battery impact is minimal — comparable to a standard email app running in the background. Live camera and mic sessions do use more battery while active.

No. Guardian Eye is Android-only and does not work on iPhone or any iOS device. Both the child's phone being monitored and the parent app you use to view it are Android apps — you'll need an Android phone on both sides. This is an Apple platform restriction (iOS does not allow the kind of background monitoring this app provides), not a limitation we can remove. If your child uses an iPhone, please do not purchase — the app will not function on their device.

This is Google Play Protect, which flags any app installed outside the Play Store by default — including Guardian Eye's Child app. Before installing, turn it off on the child's phone: open the Play Store app → tap your profile icon (top right) → Play Protect → tap the Settings (gear) icon → turn off "Scan apps with Play Protect". Do this first, then install the Child app — full steps are also on your download page after purchase.
